Ernest Juarez


A native of San Angelo. Coach Ernest enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduating from Lake View HS in 2005. In 2011 He went to the Police Academy and started his career in law enforcement with the Ballinger Police Department from 2012-2019 and with the Winters Police Department from 2020-2022. He started his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey in March of 2015 under professor Joseph Tonche at Zombie BJJ in Abilene, TX. Discovering his passion for mentoring people on the mats, coach Ernest left law enforcement as a full time officer and opened Sweetwater BJJ with coach Josh.

Josh Sams


Josh Sams is a brown belt under Professor Joseph Tonche. He has been training Jiu Jitsu for over 6 years. Coach Josh is married with two daughters who are eager to start training at Sweetwater BJJ. When he is not on the mats, he is fulfilling his career as a law enforcement officer. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, including their three dogs. Coach Josh is excited to provide a safe, fun environment that teaches self-defense, promotes physical activity and builds confidence.

Jeremy Wolford

 

Coach Jeremy is a Blue Belt under Coach Josh & Ernest. He began his Jiu Jitsu journey 3 years ago in Louisiana. Jeremy served 7 years in the United States Army as an Infantryman and has been a law enforcement officer for over 7 years, with a majority of his career serving as a K9 handler and SWAT team member. Jeremy is married with two kids, a boy and girl. Coach Jeremy is an active competitor and is passionate about teaching self-defense and improving self confidence in people through martial arts and physical fitness.

Coach Rainne Munoz has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for over two years. She currently holds the rank of Blue Belt that she received in July of 2022 along with her husband, from Professor Joseph Tonche at Zombie BJJ. Coach Rainne has also assisted with coaching children’s Jiu Jitsu at Zombie BJJ in Abilene, TX. Coach Rainne’s goal is to provide students with a well-rounded knowledge of Jiu Jitsu while maintaining a fun and positive environment!
